In order to allow customers to buy real products, the custom furniture caster manufacturer introduces a simple identification method for several common materials of casters, hoping to help you.
This method is called the "combustion method". We can identify the caster material by the flame, smoke smell and ash after burning:
Polypropylene (PP): Flammable, has a slight plastic smell, when burned, the surface melts evenly and has sticky threads.
Nylon (PA): Not easy to burn. There is an odor of burnt hair when burned. After burning, the surface is foamy and the silk is sticky.
High temperature nylon PA: The burning conditions are the same as PA, but there is white powder on the surface after burning.
Polyurethane (PU): flammable, emits white smoke when burning, easy to melt, non-irritating odor, silky sticky.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC): flammable, with strong black smoke when burning, irritating odor, non-stick, black toner on the burning surface.
