Medium swivel casters material and specifications

Medium-sized swivel wheels, as the name suggests, are medium-duty swivel wheels. According to the division of the caster industry, a single swivel wheel with a load-bearing capacity in the range of 70kg-150kg is called a medium-sized swivel wheel. If you install 4 casters on one equipment or trolley, you can choose medium-sized casters with a total load between 200kg-400kg.

According to the usage scenario and the total load (equipment weight + product weight), we can choose the appropriate size of the medium-sized swivel wheel.

Because the ground is not 100% flat, even if 4 casters are installed, in fact, only 3 casters are under force in many cases. For safety reasons, the total load is calculated based on 3 casters.

According to the different usage scenarios, the commonly used medium-sized universal wheel materials are divided into nylon, pvc, polyurethane (pu), iron core polyurethane (iron core pu), tpr, anti-static rubber, high temperature nylon, cast iron, etc.

Specifications and sizes are divided into 4 types: 2.5 inches, 3 inches, 4 inches, and 5 inches.
