What kind of casters do caster manufacturers use

2022/07/08

LPHY is a professionalcasters manufacturer, specialized in producing hea

Roller Bearings - In addition to wear-resistant and deep-groove ball bearings, this robust, shock-resistant bearing is primarily used in transport equipment casters. Compared with other bearings, roller bearings are known for their extremely low installation height, relatively low rolling resistance and huge load-carrying capacity. Wheels equipped with roller bearings cannot move faster than 4 km/h, which is close to the speed of human walking.

Taper bearing - Taper bearing is one of the important components of roller bearings. Compared with ordinary bearings, their special advantage is that they expand the field of use and can provide better motion characteristics.

Ball Bearings--Uniquely designed single-row radial precision ball bearings conform to German Industrial Standard (DIN) and are high-quality models of bearings.

Wheels equipped with these ball bearings maintain extremely low rolling resistance even under load.

For different use environments, there are different requirements: the casters used in factories are different from those used in enterprises, the casters used in tool carts are different from those used in hospital beds, and the requirements for casters used in shopping carts must be completely different from those in factories. Those casters used to carry heavy loads.

Generally speaking, there are the following four kinds of bearings for caster wheels:

1. Terling Bearings: Terling is a special engineering plastic, suitable for wet and corrosive places, with average rotation flexibility and high resistance.

2. Roller bearing: The heat-treated roller bearing can carry heavier loads and has general rotation flexibility.

3. Ball bearing: The ball bearing made of high-quality bearing steel can carry heavier loads and is suitable for occasions requiring flexible and quiet rotation.

4. Plane bearing: suitable for high and extra high load and high speed occasions.

Depending on the ground conditions the caster is applied to, in principle hard treads are suitable for movement on soft or smooth ground, while soft treads are more flexible for rolling on hard or rough ground, including most outdoor surfaces. When choosing wheels, take into account all special ground conditions: unevenness, gutters, sills, slats on the dock.

The larger and softer the wheel, the easier it is to roll on tracks or similar ground conditions. Soft wheels also protect the ground from damage. Rubber wheels, especially high modulus rubber wheels, are quiet and protect the ground to a great extent, while carbon steel wheels are stiffer.

In general, PU wheels are a compromise choice with a moderate level of ground protection and can handle heavier weights.

In this way, what kind of casters are suitable for selection, I believe everyone has a standard in their hearts. Caster manufacturer LPHY recommends that you first investigate the application environment when choosing casters, and then choose suitable caster products.

If you cannot come to a conclusion easily, you can inform the professional technician or caster manufacturer of the application requirements, and the professional will help you choose the model.
