What is the difference between polyurethane wheels and rubber wheels

Polyurethane wheels are environmentally friendly tires. The main material of the tire is polyurethane. Strictly speaking, PU is also a kind of plastic, but additives are added in the production process, so the performance is better. It has the characteristics of puncture resistance, no need to inflate, high cost, good grip, not easy to slip, more wear-resistant, and good comfort.

The rubber solid wheel is mainly used in the smooth road surface of the factory workshop, and has the characteristics of low cost, puncture resistance and corrosion resistance.

Polyurethane Wheel

Polyurethane wheel material can be applied to the fabric or weight-bearing parts of footwear, such as high-end inline wheels, skateboard wheels, PU pads, luggage wheels, shopping cart wheels and other purpose wheels, in sports products such as drift boards, vitality In some sports and leisure products favored by teenagers, such as boards, roller skates, twist cars, etc., the wheels are generally polyurethane wheels. Because these products all need to bear the weight of the individual, the elasticity of the polyurethane wheel is significantly better, and the better the elasticity of the wheel.

Rubber solid wheel

Rubber solid wheels are made of rubber.

Rubber refers to a highly elastic polymer material with reversible deformation, which is elastic at room temperature, can produce large deformation under the action of a small external force, and can return to its original shape after removing the external force. Rubber is a completely amorphous polymer, its glass transition temperature (T g) is low, and its molecular weight is often large, greater than several hundred thousand.

The effect of rubber reinforcing properties is mainly on tensile strength and tear strength. The general rule is: when the particle size is the same, high-structure carbon black has a great reinforcing effect on amorphous rubber, and generally has a higher tensile strength. and tear strength.

The structure of the rubber is also the most important factor affecting the electrical conductivity. The branched structure is easy to form an interwoven conductive path in the rubber, which will improve the electrical conductivity.

Isoprene rubber, like natural rubber, has good elasticity and wear resistance, excellent heat resistance and good chemical stability. The strength of isoprene rubber (before processing) is significantly lower than that of natural rubber, but its quality uniformity and processing performance are better than those of natural rubber.

Isoprene rubber can replace natural rubber in the manufacture of truck tires and off-road tires and can also be used in the production of various rubber products. For example, we often use: heavy industrial rubber casters, iron core rubber wheels, aluminum core rubber wheels and so on.
